Rewritten Me Is Back: Before and After Breast Reconstruction
Rewritten Me is back!
Australia’s podcast dedicated to supporting people having reconstruction after mastectomy returns with a new mini-series looking at the before and after realities of breast reconstruction.
This short trailer gives you a sneak peek at what’s coming.
Across the series, you’ll hear practical conversations about breast reconstruction after mastectomy, preparation, recovery, access, costs, support, and the questions people often don’t know they can ask.
At the centre of the series is Elle, who had breast cancer surgery and DIEP reconstruction a number of years ago, and is now preparing for another mastectomy and reconstruction after learning she has a genetic variant that increases her risk of breast cancer.
The series also brings in surgical expertise and qualified allied health support to help people understand their options, prepare where they can, and identify practical support they may be able to discuss with their treating team.
Listen to the trailer, follow Rewritten Me wherever you listen to podcasts, and share it with someone considering, preparing for or recovering from reconstruction after mastectomy.
